Welcome to The Schools InstituteAs a Division of ADMINFO Resources Inc., The Schools Institute is designed to provide top quality products and data services for teachers and administrators in schools and school districts in the Kindergarten-to-Grade 12 education system. We are not a publicly-funded body. We rely on the merits of our products and services to generate revenue which is used to develop and refine further products and services. This is our guarantee of quality. Since 1993, we have developed the following booklets and binders in British Columbia, Canada, updated annually: For elementary, middle and junior secondary schools For secondary schools For School Districts In addition, we are developing two new products - Mark Tracker and Survey Cruncher. Mark Tracker keeps track of all student assessment data over time, and produces different types of reports. Survey Cruncher allows schools to conduct their own surveys and produce summary results in tabular and graphical format. To order booklets or binders, or read more about Mark Tracker and Survey Cruncher, please visit the Products page. We also offer research services, consulting services and workshops. They are described on the Services page. The Schools Institute recognizes that many schools are under significant pressure, and would welcome some help. The Schools Toolkit is a collection of free tools to help educators with their work. To see what's on offer, or to contribute a tool you would like to share with other educators, please visit the Schools Toolkit page. We will provide a fresh perspective by developing new reportable information to help identify and celebrate effective schools and districts that make a difference to their students. Current status of this process can be found on the Effective Schooling page. Finally, some educators may need to exchange computer files with others, which may be either too large for email mailboxes, or may be rejected because they contain executable code (e.g., zipped files). The File Exchange capability has been set up as a free service to educators who may have difficulty exchanging files in other ways. Please contact Dr. John Taylor if you wish to use this service, for the user name and password.
